Not Sure What Programme Is For You?

Open Day

Want to experience life on campus? Durnacol Skills Innovation Hub Open day, held in June of each year, is a great opportunity to investigate programmes and careers at information sessions and interactive workshops. You can meet other students, and prospective students, discuss study options with our programme tutors and get a feel for life on campus.

Campus Tours

We welcome you to visit our campus. Please call our Marketing Office to arrange a tour for you or your groups.

Student for a Week

If you're in Grade 9 or higher, we can offer you the opportunity to attend a short skills programme through our "Student for a Week" scheme during the winter school holiday. It is an ideal opportunity to get first-hand experience, talk to tutorial staff and current students about the programme, check out the facilities and have a look around our campus. Contact your school careers adviser of our Marketer for details.

Getting Started - Bridging Programmes

Thinking about tertiary education but don't know if you meet the required entry criteria to become an apprentice.  You can now download the Apprentice Entrance Requirement to make sure you qualify to enrol as an apprentice on our engineering programmes.

If you do not meet the entry criteria, DSIH will allow you to study at another tertiary institution for your required N2 qualification on a part time basis while studying your trade with us.

We are even willing to assist you with guidance should you not understand the theory while studying for your N2 at another institution.

This will allow you to get sooner in the labour market but still comply with trade test requirement.

Speak to our career advisor to assist you with the process.

Come in and visit our friendly knowledgeable Information Advisors - no appointment necessary. You can find them at our Durnacol Campus. They know all our programmes intimately, so you can discuss programme details and study options with them, or they can direct you to other support services.

They're here to help you with information, guidance and support including:

- Detailed programme information
- Application and enrolment
- Fees and payment options
- Financial assistance including the possibility of bursaries
- Careers information
- Campus tours
